ListenUP Curriculum
The ListenUP Resource Pack curriculum has been designed to
save teachers time while improving social,
emotional, and academic performance in the school setting. It has
also been designed to strengthen relationships between students,
their families, and teachers.

ListenUP allows for
greater flexibility on planning and delivering social
education lessons. It gives great ideas to build upon with
personal experiences and activities. The exercise bank
handouts are very valuable and the students like them. |
 |
The content can delivered using a variety of different learning
strategies incorporated into the program. Each module begins with a lesson plan and follows on
with extended content that expands the concepts further. Worksheets,
handouts, confidence builders, relevant movie suggestions,
inspirational quotes, and team activities are also included to
strengthen students’ understanding of the topics and make learning
entertaining and interactive.
All the content is organised in a teacher friendly, easy to
understand format. ListenUP is a resource that will save you time.
It will help you overcome the hassle involved in researching and
creating social skills and character education classes for your
students.

ListenUP provided us with flexible lessons that we could
fit into a program we were designing. The Movie Bank and
Quotes sections were great. The personal development issues
were clearly set out and challenging. |

Explanation
of Resources
Lesson Plans
have been created to capture your students’ attention. They are
written in a style you can quickly ‘pick up in a hurry and run
with’.
Extended Content
takes a more in depth look
into topics covered in lesson plans and introduce new concepts for
more advanced classes or students who just want to know more.
Extended content topics are unique and very relevant to your
students because they are based on real life experiences of young
people.
The licensing agreement permits
extended content to be copied as a handout for students. They
are also ideal for teachers to base further lessons on.
Exercise Bank
contains group activities and games that can be used to
support concepts introduced to students in a fun and challenging
way.
Handouts
includes worksheets, activities, quotes, poems, and content that can
be used to encourage students to think about the things they would
like to achieve as well as boosting their understanding of the
concepts being covered.
Inspirational Quotes
for students can be found throughout the program. You’ll also find
more ‘topic specific’ quotes for both students and educators at the
back of each module. Some quotes that apply to more than one module
have been repeated in each module for ease of reference.
Movie Bank Guide
– Edutainment at its best! The Movie
Bank Guide links content covered throughout the program with
relevant scenes in popular feature films so you can use them to
enhance your students’ understanding of concepts while keeping them
entertained at the same time.
